The Walls

Posted for the Poets United Thursday Think prompt #14

i told You before itself
the walls are convenient
that walls had doors
and doors had locks
that could be opened and locked.

this way no one enters
or walks across your soul-scape
leaving dirty footprints
marks on a pristine floor
that can’t be washed away.

You never agreed.
always said ‘take ’em down’
now see? what has happened?
i don’t have any walls
only Your footprints
reminders of endless follies.
