Darth Vader resigns

Today Darth lay down his arms. He removed his mask, his armour, lay down the laser-sword. He said he doesn’t want to do this anymore. Doesn’t want to conquer, doesn’t want to defend, doesn’t want to control, doesn’t want to direct. He wants to be left alone. He wants to heal. He just wants to be and not do anything else for anyone else.
Inside his armour he was full of wounds – big ones, small ones, some deep, some large.
He said to heal, he needs to remove his armour, expose his wounds to nature, to air, sun and light. So that they can repair themselves. His armour had become his burden, cause of his pain, cause of constriction. His private hell.
He said, it does not matter if the world sees him as he is. Vulnerable. Tired. Hurt. It was ok. And once he decided it was no longer important to conquer or rule, the armour and weapons were no longer necessary.
So now Darth is not there. What will happen to me ? Who will do the job that he did ? He said, “Hand over yourself to the bright one within. It will know what to do.”

  1. Padmé Amidala saw the wounded, sobbing youth, and let her compassion guide her heart as she comforted him. Her final words are, “There’s good in him. I know … I know there’s still ….”- Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
